Case Filed Against BJP Leader for Alleged Cheating of another party Leader

Hyderabad: The issue of nominated posts has created a sensation in opposition BJP in the state. In a fresh development, the Rajendra Nagar Police has registered a criminal case against the Ranga reddy district Mahila morcha president Uma Maheswari reddy for allegedly cheating the BJP Yuva morcha state secretary B. Bal Reddy to the tune of Rs.20 lakh.

In his complaint, Bal Reddy alleged that the Mahila morcha leader had promised him the nominated post of the secretary of the sports authority of India if he paid Rs.38 lakh to her. He said that of the demanded amount, he paid Rs.20 lakh to her as advance. The police have booked a case under sections 420, 384 and 406 of IPC.

It may be noted here that a woman by name Pravarna reddy, a native of Karmanghat of the city  lodged a similar complaint of cheating against BJP national general secretary Muralidhar Rao and other leaders of the party in  Saroornagar police station.
