Hyderabad: Telugu Desham Party senior leader, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy today criticised the Central budget for failing to fulfil aspirations of people. He also accused the TRS leadership for winning municipal elections in wrong means. At NTR Trust Bhavan, he told media that the Centre has burdened poor and middle-class people through the budget. Giving more funds to infrastructure and startups is good, he said. Due to lopsided policies of the Centre the nation sees poor economic situation. The budget lacks any rationality as it levied taxes on cheap goods, he expressed displeasure. Taxes burdening poor families be waived off, he demanded.
The TD leader also sought the Centre punish those evading taxes. He objected the budget for cut in funds allocation and employment schemes. Reddy expressed displeasure that the Centre is eager to privatize public sector companies. He slammed IT minister KT Rama Rao for managing polls from polling booths. TRS government will not last long with manipulative politics, he said.
He ridiculed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as a child intellectual for claiming that he was aware of everything.
