Central forces to take part in Telangana Liberation Day parade on September 17

The union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy said that the central forces will take part in a parade to be held at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on September 17 as part of Telangana Liberation Day celebrations.

Informing media about the upcoming celebrations at Parade Grounds, he stated that the Central Government was officially organizing the year-long celebrations. The ceremony’s chief guest will be Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The Chief Ministers of Telangana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka have already been invited to participate in the celebrations. On this occasion, the families of Telangana martyrs will be honored.

He accused the MIM of attempting to prevent the highlighting of Nizam rulers’ atrocities and claimed that the ruling party, TDP, and Congress parties had surrendered to the Majlis party. Reddy recalled that the first union Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, hoisted the national flag in Telangana on September 17, 1948, and added that the national flag would be hoisted officially on September 17 after 74 years.

He stated that he was not criticizing any political party, but was simply stating facts. According to Reddy, the Liberation Day celebrations should be held as a public festival rather than a government event. “We want to organize celebrations on September 17 in the same spirit as ‘Har Ghar Tiranga,'” he says.

The BJP government at the Centre has begun making plans to mark Hyderabad Liberation Day as an official event on September 17 in the city, with a public meeting and event at Parade Ground that will kick off a year-long celebration.

Union culture minister G. Kishan Reddy, whose department will spearhead the celebrations, sent formal invitations to the Chief Ministers of Telangana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka – the three states in which the then Hyderabad State had territories – on Saturday. K. Chandrashekar Rao of Telangana, Eknath Shinde of Maharashtra, and Basvaraj Bommai of Karnataka have been invited as guests of honor for the event.
