Central team visits places in city on 4th day, talks to officials on Corona, lockdown situation

Hyderabad: Central team of officials continued their visit to several places in the city on the fourth consecutive day on Corona cases and lockdown situations.

Supposed to wind up its tour on Monday,  the team extended it by a day to get complete information with regard to positive cases and quarantine measures in Telangana. The team had to extend the trip by one more day as the positive cases crossed the 1000 mark.

The team has made a, visit Gudi- Malkapur Market near the Mehdi-Patnam area and got to know of steps to overcome lockdown situation amid corona spread.  The officials interacted with people and traders in the market on vegetables, prices, and availability.

Then the authorities visited the command control center in the GHMC Commissioner office.  Municipal Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar and commissioner Lokesh Kumar on corona cases,  lockdown situation,  prevention steps.

The team sought to know of health care services and essential commodities being offered to patients and the poor,  migrants, and workers. The team is to return to Delhi and submit a detailed report to the center on the Corona measures,  lockdown situation, and steps by the government to cut the virus chain.

Arvind Kumar informed the central team of reduction in positive cases that were tested only two out of 159 patients tested for coronavirus.  The state, however, is improving with regard to reduction in new cases of Corona.  This was informed by  Chief Minister,  K Chandrasekhar Rao after a review meeting with officials at Pragati Bhavan.
