Chandrababu condoles MK’s demise

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today eulogized the matchless services of Tamil Nadu former chief minister Muthuvel Karunanidhi, who passed away in Chennai on Tuesday.

Participating in a Nodal Officials’ State-level conference held at Mangalagiri in Guntur district today, Chandrababu Naidu read a condolences resolution. The meeting observed a two-minute
silence. The Chief Minister extended his deep sympathies to the Tamil people and family members of the departed leader Karunanidhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Chandrababu Naidu said Karunanidhi was a highly experienced politician in Tamil Nadu, who influenced several crores of people. Karunanidhi was an undisputed leader in Tamil Nadu remained a towering political force in South India till his last breath.

The AP Chief Minister said Karunanidhi had excelled not only in politics but also in arts sector. He was the reason for several social changes, he said. “I had good relations with Karunanidhi, who maintained cordial relations with actor turned TDP founder and former chief minister NTR. Karunanidhi was a key person when United Front was floated in 1996. The demise of Karunanidhi was a colossal loss to Tamil Nadu as well as the country”, Chandrababu said. (NSS)
