Chandrababu Naidu sabotaging setting up of Kadapa steel plant: BJP

Anantapur: Throwing the ball into Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s court on steel plant issue, AP BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana today said people of Kadapa district strongly believe that the Chief Minister was not taking interest on Kadapa district as it was native district of late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy and Jaganmohan Reddy. He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was creating obstacles in setting up steel plant in Kadapa district.

Kanna said the BJP was ready to release a white paper on development of the State, particularly Rayalaseema with the funds released and sanctioned by the Centre during the last four years. If Chandrababu Naidu was honest, he should release a white paper on development of Rayalseema region, he added.

Condemning the attack on the convoy of party national president Amit Shah during his visit to Tirumala recently, Kanna alleged that a conspiracy was hatched to physically eliminate Amit Shah when he along with his family members visited Tirumala for a darshan of Lord Venkateshwara. “The ruling party was resorting to attacks on BJP leaders, who spoke truth, Kanna alleged.
Meanwhile, another BJP leader Som Veerraju questioned as to why C M Ramesh, who was on indefinite hunger strike demanding steel plant in Kadapa remained silent on the re-opening of closed factories in the district.
