Check Hindutva extremism: CPI to Centre

Hyderabad: CPI today expressed concern over the rising heinous activities of extremist outfits all over India particularly in Maharashtra. In a statement here the party general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy said that in Maharashtra ATS arrested three persons on August 10, 2018 for plotting bomb blasts and seized from them at least 20 crude bombs. The blasts are taking place just ahead of Independence Day celebrations and Bakri Eid both of which fall next week. All those arrested belong to Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janjagran Samiti (HJS) and the Centre and Maharastra should ban these two terror groups. The Centre has to protect the interests of the country, its security, stability and unity with appropriate actions without discriminating any wrong-doer on the basis of religion. Regulate the religious yatries like Kanwarias from unleashing terror against the innocent people he said.

According to police the accused planned to carry out terror attacks in Mumbai, Pune, Solapur and Satara districts in the coming few days to spark communal disturbances ahead of Bakri Eid. Those who were arrested according to Karnataka SIT were linked with the murders of Gouri Lankesh, Govind Pansare and other rationalist leaders. He expressed anguish at the failure of the Centre to resolve the murder cases of all the four prominent personalities despite Bombay High Court expressing anger.
