Chief Minister Revanth Reddy Urges Prompt Report on Nizam Sugar Factory Revival

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has asked the cabinet sub-committee to expedite their efforts and present a detailed report on the reopening of the closed Nizam Sugar Factory.

The committee, led by Industries Minister Sridhar Babu, met at the secretariat to review the difficulties surrounding the defunct Nizam Sugar Factory.

The committee, which included several ministries, officials, and stakeholders, reviewed topics such as historical arrears from the closed sugar facilities in Bodhan and Muthyampet, as well as financial barriers to their restoration. The meeting’s major goal was to better understand sugarcane growers’ problems and propose practical solutions for the efficient functioning and reopening of the Nizam Sugar Factory.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy underlined the importance of conducting a thorough investigation into the matter and asked the committee to develop methods not just for restarting the closed facilities, but also for securing their long-term operation. The goal is to prioritize the welfare of sugarcane growers while overcoming financial obstacles to the revival process.

As the committee conducts a thorough study, this project is a step toward rejuvenating the local sugar industry and addressing the challenges that sugarcane growers confront in the region.
