Hyderabad: Former minister G. Chinna Reddy on Thursday retracted from his comments against former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao and former President Pranab Mukherjee, a day after creating sensation with his comments.
Chinna Reddy made it clear that he had great regard for both PV and Pranab Mukherjee. He said he was reacting in the context of the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi against late PV Narasimha Rao and Pranab Mukerjee. He said he was regretting if he had hurt anybody with his comments.
Chinna Reddy made it clear that the BJP leaders didn’t have any right to talk about the Congress party leaders while refuting the statement of Modi that the Congress had insulted the two leaders. He also made it clear that the Congress party had given great opportunities to both PV and Pranab Mukherjee in the country.
Reddy faced a lot of criticism for his negative comments from the leaders of all political parties, including his own party.(NSS)
