CITIZEN’S FORUM CONDEMNS ARREST OF NOWHERA SHAIKH

Hyderabad : United Citizens’ Forum, a non-political NGO, has condemned the arrest of Nowhera Shaikh, saying it was politically motivated. In a statement here today, Forum National   President, M Maqbool A Mateen   said that Nowhera Shaikh, a lifetime Vice-president of Women’s wing of International Human Rights Association – India, is an entrepreneur and she has started a multi businesses module inviting investors on a no-interest basis, with guaranteed returns of profits.

She has been involved in much business forming a consortium, Heera group, having its offices across India, UAE, Middle East, Western Africa, China and Canada.  She has done her Ph.D in 2017 and formed a party, All India Mahila Empowerment Party, with an aim to fight and provide justice for all and  Indian women in particular.  Her concern for the uplift of women in particular and the poor and downtrodden has made her famous.

He further said that her arrest was highly suspicious as she declared that her political party will contest all the 119 Assembly seats of Telangana.  Her announcement could be the main reason behind the   plot to arrest her, so that it might damage her reputation.  He demanded her immediate release.
