Hyderabad: A day after the uproar over a city police constable allegedly misbehaving with a female student protestor during agitation at Charminar, City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar placed the delinquent under suspension. He also ordered an inquiry into the incident.
Constable K Parmesh was on duty during the agitation by students of the Dr BRKR Ayurveda College at Charminar on Wednesday. Videos of the incident showed the constable touching a student protestor inappropriately while the police were shifting them from the spot. The accused, who was in mufti, pinched the female medico very hard at the joint of her right shoulder prompting her to cry loudly due to pain. The pinching video of the constable turned viral prompting the police to take action. (NSS)
