Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will distribute Rs 1000 cr worth vehicles, nets and other materials to the eligible fishermen on Sept 5, according to Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister T Srinivas Yadav. During a review meeting at Secretariat here, he asked the officials to make better arrangements for the even at Peoples Plaza. The state government has decided to provide assistance to the eligible fishermen in a big way under integrated fisheries development program he said.
The minister said that the government is providing subsidy to the beneficiaries who will get two wheelers, luggage autos, trucks, nets, kiosks and other material. Since a large number of fishermen will throng the site arrangements have to be made to cater to the needs in advance, he added.
