Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister KCR will take a final decision on the construction of a new secretariat at a meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
An official announcement on the designs will then be made after approval by the Cabinet. It may be recalled that the High Court has given the green signal for the demolition of the old buildings of the Telangana Secretariat.
By the ruling of the court, the state government will able to construct the new secretariat buildings. The court clarified that the permits of the Central Environment Department are not required to remove the old ones to construct new buildings. The bench has dismissed the petitions challenging the demolition of the Secretariat buildings.
