CM YS Jagan credits crop loss compensation to farmers

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy today credited the crop loss compensation amount into the bank accounts of the farmers of the state.

A total of ₹22 crores was credited into the bank accounts of 34586 farmers of the state. The compensation amount belonged to the rabi season.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that they had taken a historic step to help the farmers of the state and added that they had launched a noble program for the welfare of the farmers. He said that the rural economy would suffer if the farmers faced problems.

He said that 62 percent of the state population was dependent on the agriculture sector. He said that no previous government of the state had thought so much about the farmers like his government. He said that the decisions being taken by his governor would be etched in the history of the state.

He made it clear that the farmers should not suffer irrespective of the natural calamities they face and added that they would give compensation to those who suffer losses in the same season. He said that the compensation was being paid in a completely transparent manner.
