Hyderabad: TSRTC plans to introduce a common traveling passes for commuters of its buses, Metro Rail, MMTS in the city besides buying about 1,000 new buses to cater to the needs of the people.
TSRTC MD Sunil Sharma today held a review meeting with the officials here and directed for coordinated efforts for earning benefits through services. A committee will be appointed to check the losses being incurred by the RTC, he said. Sunil Sharma has instructed his officials to focus on earning more revenue and improve services. He also sought increase in the number of bus passes being issued to the students and employees.
TSRTC MD asked the officials to increase 10 per cent rent on the shops in RTC bus stations and complexes across the State. It was decided to construct multiplexes in vacant places of the RTC to give them for rent for business and earn more revenue in the districts, he said. Another round of the meeting with regional managers and divisional managers and officials will be held in 15 days, he added. (NSS)
