Compound wall of HMDA Park Shivrampally falling like a Deck of Cards

Despite the issue brought to the notice of HMDA officials time and again, the compound wall of the HMDA Park at Shivarampally keeps on falling from different spots one after another like a deck of cards.

Earlier this month it was reported that the wall collapsed from two locations and, if not repaired promptly, will attract the hawk eyes of the land sharks. However, no measures were taken yet to repair the crashes on the failing wall while the HMDA officials simply washed their hands by pointing finger towards GHMC – whose sanitary vehicle driver was recently found guilty of pulling the wall while carting away garbage near the compound.

Now, one more new breach appeared at the wall in addition to the already existing three crashes on just 400 meter long compound. Ironically, this is the third time in a year the compound wall has received damage.

“Only last year, purportedly the HMDA authorities carried out restoration after finding that the compound wall received damages. However, just a year after the restoration more damages have appeared which appeared as a handy work of some vested interests,” said, Mohd. Khaleel, who is well aware of the situation around the Park.

The HMDA Park Shivrampally stands on the dry part of the historic Bum-Rukn-ud-Daula Lake, very opposite to the National Police Academy on National Highway-44. The desolated park was restored only two years ago after it was reported in a section of media that the land sharks are luring at the deserted park that served as a fully operational HMDA nursery decade ago.

Tugged in an isolation place beside Janta Petrol Pump on Shivrampally road, this rejuvenated park – that was bedecked with a myriad number of ornamental saplings full of flowers two years ago, has not yet opened for the public.
