Comprehensive wastes management plan soon : KTR

Hyderabad: Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today stated that a comprehensive plan will be launched soon towards the management of all kinds of wastes in the state. 

Along with the labor minister,  KTR has launched a new plant of demolition and construction waste materials at Jeedimetla industrial area on 17 acres in Medchal Malkajgiri district here. 

The plant is 500 metric tons capacity which is the biggest in Southern India the minister claimed. The minister said that Ramky company and GHMC have collaborated in this regard. 

He informed that 2000 metric tons of garbage is produced every day in the city.  The people should not through waste at roadsides and keep environments clean. They have to dispose of garbage to GHMC garbage collection vehicles and ensure cleanliness.  Our aim is to avoid the harm of waste materials of any kind to people through setting up recycling plants.

The government has on the job of coming up with the new waste management policy he said. It will pave way for garbage collection from domestic, construction, business, and other sites he stated.

Another 500 mt capacity plant will be started at Fatullaguda.  He said that a separate system is put in place to shift construction waste. It can be shifted by calling toll free number 1800 1200 72659.wastes management 

 In Jawahar Nagar, 6000 mt waste to energy plant to produce power will be started in a few days.  Of 2000 million liters of wastewaters released every day,  41 percent of it is being treated and getting released into the Musi river.  Malla Reddy also said that the plant is the biggest as it spread over 17 acres of land.
