Hyderabad: Dr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, MLC and Dy leader TCLP, along with Guduru Narayana Reddy, Treasurer, Mallu Ramesh,Nirmal Kumar yadav, Secretary TPCC, Vanjara Mahesh,Youth Congress leader,Y Ramu, BC leader and other Congress workers observed a ‘Silent protest’ near Gandhi Statue at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday against the brutal lathicharge on farmers near Delhi who en route to Kishan Ghat, Delhi.
The farmers proceeded towards Kisan Ghat with the demands of implementation of the Swamynathan Commission recommendation and supportive prices for farmer’s produce,crops.
The Congress leaders have taken up a silent protest as part of the protest programms, across the Country following the call given by Rahul Gandhi Congress president. While Speaking, Sudhakar Reddy strongly condemned the Lathicharge on farmers by the NDA,UP,Haryana Govts, and demanded the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to tender apologies to the farmers and solve the demands of the protest farmers.
