Congress leader VH tests positive to Covid 19 virus

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former TPCC President V. Hanumantha Rao today tested positive to coronavirus in the city. Rao has been suffering from ill-health for the last two days. Keeping this in mind, the doctors have collected samples from him. The samples have tested positive for the virus.

Rao has been admitted to a private hospital and is being treated by the doctors. The authorities of the state government are now planning to conduct tests on his family members. They are now under home quarantine. The supporters of VH have distributed 100 shawls to the poor people of the state on the occasion of his birthday.

His family members have said that Rao fell ill from the same day. VH has toured several areas during the lockdown and took part in several protest programs held by the party and himself personally. VH has also taken part in the Jala Deeksha program held by the party recently.

The officials are also now gathering the details of the protest programs participated by him and the leaders he met. It may be noted here that several public representatives from the state have already become the victims of the virus. The ruling TRS party MLAs M. Yadagiri Reddy, Bajireddy Govardhan, Beegala Ganesh Gupta have become the victims of the virus and are now undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad.
