Congress leaders pay silent homage to martyrs

Hyderabad: The Congress party leaders from the state today paid silent homage to the 20 martyrs, who have sacrificed their lives while fighting with enemy China’s soldiers. The party MP K. Venkat Reddy and MLA K. Venkat reddy held the silent homage program at their homes.

Speaking on the occasion, MP Venkat Reddy said that he was paying tributes to the martyrs through his program. He said that colonel Santosh Babu who has sacrificed his life for the country would be remembered forever. He said that the sacrifices of the martyrs could never be forgotten by anybody in the country. He alleged that China was trying to enter the country in an illegal manner. He demanded the central government to take back the land encroached upon by China.

The party MLA T. Jagga Reddy, who sat for the silent homage program along with his daughter and the party leader Jaya Reddy at Madhapur,  demanded the union government to reclaim the land encroached upon by the Chinese troops. He demanded the union government to come to the rescue of the family members of the martyrs of the country and added that the government shouldn’t forget the sacrifices of any of the soldiers of the country.
