Congress Seeks Clarity from Govt on Dalita Bandhu Implementation

The Congress party today demanded the State government to give clarity on the implementation of the Dalitha Bandh scheme including the allocation of funds.

Taking part in a discussion on the implementation of the scheme in State Assembly, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the Congress had always craved for the development of the Dalits and poor people of Telangana.

He made it clear to the state government that their party wanted the implementation of the Dalitha Bandhu scheme. He said that there was a need for the Chief Minister of the state KCR to give complete clarity on the scheme.

He demanded the CM to implement the scheme in all 119 assembly constituencies of the state and not the Huzurabad Assembly constituency alone. He said that the house would be in a position to take up a meaningful discussion on the implementation of the scheme only after the clarification of the state government on how it would mobilise funds for the implementation of the scheme.

Vikramarka asked the state government to take steps to avoid any kind of politics in the identification of the beneficiaries of the scheme. He also asked the state government to implement the scheme in a transparent manner and added that the government should appoint the representatives of recognized political parties in the committees related to the scheme while noting that the state government should take the suggestions and views for the implementation of the scheme.

Speaking further , Vikramarka asked the state government to implement a similar scheme for the economically weaker sections of the state.
