Congress Yatra makes a dent in RSS speed, need to reinforce further: Shravan Garg

Claiming that the Bharat Jodo Yatra kick started by the Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi has changed the tone of the BJP and its mentor the RSS, The senior Journalist Shravan Garg said, “The Congress March, it appears, will never end here itself until it brings a change in the country. If a person is addressing a gathering amid heavy downpour and the people are listening to him attentively without blinking their eyes then this means that person will not stop here henceforth.”

Taking part into a debate over the impact so far the March has left over the ruling BJP’s style of functioning on a news channel on October 4, Shravan Said, “During the 500 kilometre of Yatra, not a single word uttered by the BJP except few small narrations came from low weight leaders and government news channels.”

“Leaders like Hasbole and Dattatirya know well what impact Rahuls’ Yatra is leaving behind” he said adding that “Wait and see what will happen when Sonia and Priyanka visit their respective constituencies. However, what Rahul has to do now is to avoid returning back to Delhi. He must be on the streets till the bugle of 2024 election blows and should get all the opposition leaders with him. Then only the Yatra will get the desired results.”

Speaking assertively that the RSS knows very well the results of this Yatra, Shravan said, I have only one apprehension that what if the Congress turned arrogant, adamant and intolerant towards opposition groups and underprivileged people again out of an overwhelming response to the march? “If the Congress gets arrogant after the success of the march, instead of becoming more tolerant towards all, then it will be more disastrous,” argued Shravan.

Rahul Gandhi’s March, he said, has buried the hatchet between conflicting groups within the Congress and brings them together and in order. The intention of the March is quite clear and limited. Rahul hit the roads to hear the people and not to talk and secondly he wanted to strengthen the Congress party. We can’t took it light when the RSS leaders – known for polarising the society on communal lines, are willingly visiting Muslim leaders to dose down the outrage among the largest minority community of the country.

“So, things are changing in the country because of this Yatra. It will consolidate when all the opposition leaders like Nitish Kumar, Tejasvi Yadav, Udhav Thackray and Sharad Pawar must join the yatra in the next phase thereby turning it into All Party Bharat Jodo Yatra. If the 500 kilometre March has brought several changes then I am sure that the proposed total range of 3500 km Yatra will bring the Modi government to its knees and force it to bring many more changes in the governance,” asserted Shravan Garg.
