Antarrastriya Hindu Parishad (AHP) President Praveen Togadia on Wednesday said that ” Chalo Ayodhya ‘ would be taken up from Lucknow on October 21 demanding construction of Ayodhya temple as promised by the BJP.
Addressing a press conference here, Mr Togadia accused the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre for its failure to fulfill the promise of constructing Lord Sri Ram temple at Ayodhya.
AHP has decided to take up Chalo Ayodhya in next month in protest against the delay in construction of the temple by the NDA government, Mr Togadia, who was ousted from VHP and launced his own political outfit AHP, said.
The NDA government has enacted a law in Parliament for banning Triple Talaq but failed to take any step for temple construction, he flayed and demanded the government to bring an act in Parliament for temple construction if the BJP was really committed to the issue.
Hindus are not depending on the BJP, the AHP President said and alleged that the NDA government had failed to send back the illegal Bangladeshis from the country.
