Corona tests mandatory for all in Assembly during session: Prashant Reddy

Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings and Assembly Affairs Minister, Vemula Prashant Reddy today said that Corona tests are being made mandatory for all MLAs,  Media,  Officials, and staff in the Assembly and Council from Saturday two days ahead of the session beginning from September 7 by strictly implementing the guidelines given by the Parliament.

Speaking with media here on Friday, media Point is not allowed to working this time as press persons will be denied entry into lobbies,  ministers chambers. They will be allowed only into Gallery to cover the assembly and Council proceedings he said.

A Corona center was started in the Assembly premises on Friday at 3 pm and tests will be conducted from Saturday for all ministers, MLAs, media, and staff Prashant Reddy informed to media.

The minister has said that the Monsoon session of the legislature Assembly and Council will be conducted as per Corona protocols from Monday as per guidelines issued by Parliament.

The minister made a visit to the Assembly and reviewed the seating arrangements for the session amid the corona pandemic on the premises. The MLAs have to show negative reports of Corona or get tested before attending the assembly and Council proceedings he said.  He instructed the officials on the smooth conduct of the Assembly session followed by Parliament instructions to prevent Corona spread.

Assembly Secretary Dr. V Narsimha Charyulu will monitor the tests for media persons as corona specialist doctors are working on the premises.  Every step is being taken at the Assembly and Council to get rid of the Corona problem.

We focus on seating arrangements as per Corona protocols like 6 ft distance between each member, wearing masks, sanitizing hands, and physical distance he clarified.

While 40 more seats are added in the Assembly hall 8 were put in place in the council premises for the proceedings he said.  Ministers, PAs, staff, a limited number of required officials from departments will be allowed to follow corona protocols.

The government offers better corona treatment and services free as the recovery rate is more in its hospitals than private hospitals he said.  He appealed to officials and media to cooperate for the assembly proceedings.
