Covid-19 vaccination: 14 districts in Telangana fully vaccinated

As per the latest reports, 14 districts in Telangana have been said to be completely vaccinated against Covid-19.

While the threat of the Omicron variant has diminished due to the rapid decline in daily Covid-19 infections, the Covid-19 vaccination drive in Telangana has not slowed down.

As of Thursday, 14 districts had achieved 100% vaccination, meaning that all eligible individuals over the age of 18 in these districts have been fully vaccinated and have received the first and second doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Jangaon, Karimnagar, Medak, Hanmakonda, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhongir, Khammam, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Rangareddy, Mahabubabad, Mahabubnagar, Rajanna Siricilla, Warangal, and Mancherial are among the districts that have achieved 100% Covid-19 vaccination. Nalgonda, Adilabad, Jagtiyal, and Mulugu are the other four districts with more than 95 per cent of vaccination.

A total of 2,93,03,306 (108%) of the 2,77,67,000 eligible individuals over the age of 18 in Telangana have received the first dose, while 2,59,01,806 (93%) have received both the first and second doses of Covid-19 vaccination.

In the 15 to 17-year-old age group, 15,53,897 (84%) of the 18,41,000 eligible youngsters have received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccination, while 8,72,576 (47%) have received the second dose.

Covid-19 in Telangana

Telangana added 311 more Covid-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the total number of cases to 7,88,096. The death toll now stands at 4,111, with one more fatality. Telangana reported 348 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday.

According to a state government bulletin issued recently, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported the highest number of infections with 90 cases, followed by 31 in Ranga Reddy and 16 in Medchal Malkajgiri districts. On Thursday, a total of 614 individuals recovered from the infection, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 7,79,893. According to the bulletin, there were 4092 active cases.
