The CoWin registration started on April 28, 2021 for everyone at the age of 18 years or above. Even though there were minor glitches with the registration and the app crashed, over 1.55 crore people have already registered themselves via the portal.
Third Phase Of Vaccination To Start From May 1
The government has announced that the third phase of vaccination will start from May 1. Everyone at the age of 18 or above the age of 18 is now eligible to get the Covid 19 vaccine. As per the CoWin dashboard, over 1.55 crore people have already registered for the vaccine on Thursday itself.

Reports suggest that within eight hours, the app was filled with registration from over a crore people to get a vaccination against the pandemic virus. CEO of the National Health Authority, R.S Sharma said that they closed the day at 1.33 crore registrations on the CoWIN app.
Soon after the registrations, people started to complain about the technical glitches in the app. But the Union Health Ministry denied them all. In a statement, the Union Health Ministry said that the CoWIN is a digital platform and continues to work without any technical glitch.
Around 4:35 pm, Aarogya Setu, the government mobile application official Twitter account released a tweet. It said that the CoWin portal is working. There was a small glitch at 4pm but it has been fixed now. Everyone above the age of 18 can register via the app.
CoWIN Allows Anytime Registrations
For everyone to get vaccination against the Covid 19, people eligible for the same are to register on the CoWIN app. The government claims that the CoWIN software is dependable and robust. It offers registration at anytime and anywhere.

They also said that the capacity of the servers and other parameters have been made in such a way that will ensure that it is easy to understand and use. Parameters like inclusivity, speed and scalability has been kept in mind while designing the app.
