Hyderabad: Former MLA and CPI state leader Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao today started a fast unto death program at Maqdoom Bhavan here, in support of the striking TSRTC employees. Veteran party leader Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy launched the program and sat along with Rao.
Speaking on the occasion Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was conspiring to end the corporation and siphon off all its valuable assets. He reminded the CM that the corporation was not a commercial organization but a public transport corporation.
Sambasiva Rao said that the attitude of KCR towards the RTC workers, who fought relentlessly for the formation of separate Telangana state, was not proper. He said that it was not good on the part of the CM to threaten to remove everybody who went on strike. He declared that he would continue his fast unto death until the demands of the workers were met.
