Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has directed officials to formulate action plans on the use of Information Technology (IT), Capacity building, livelihoods, Enterprise, development, and Convergence regarding the area of Self Help Groups (SHGs) in the State.
As per the direction of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, Chief Secretary held a review meeting on different activities and preparation of action plan of SERP and MEPMA at BRKR Bhavan today.
He instructed the officials to focus on agriculture, food processing, soil testing, growing of
vegetables, animal husbandry, nutrition, etc., to change the livelihood of SHG women in the State. He directed officials to work in small groups and prepare detailed roadmaps for each area.

He asked the officials to provide seamless services to SHGs through the use of IT and to initiate steps to make every SHG group get bank linkage. He urged the officials to ensure the reduction of malnutrition among children and anemia among women in the State through the convergence of SHGs respective line departments.
