Hyderabad: Allaying fears that his Police department will put a check to the continuous chain snatching cases in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, Home Minister Mohammed Mahamood Ali today directed Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagavath to take tough action against the culprits. Based on the CCTV footage, the culprits will be caught in a couple of days, he added.
Reacting on the dare-devil chain snatching incidents giving nightmares to the women in Vanasthalipuram, LB Nagar, and other areas in the capital city, the Home Minister said police patrolling will be intensified to check the menace. He asked the police officials to plunge into action and stop recurrence of such incidents. Ali also said some hard core gangs from other States, who were sneaking into the city and indulging in dare-devil chain snatching acts will be adequately punished. (NSS)
