Hyderabad: Cyber crimes are on the increase of late, despite the repeated warnings being given to the people by the police and other authorities. Messages seeking ‘friendship’ has become one way of cheating the innocent people and ironically enough, even well educated persons are becoming victims of such messages.
Mobile phone users should be aware of messages seeking friendship with ‘romantic and beautiful’ persons and the like. “Hi, make new friends and do unlimited chatting with them”, says one message. Another says: Have fun chat with romantic friends”. Another says: ‘ I felt very happy with your funny and romantic talk. Please call me again for lovely talk”. Though there was no talk between the mobile holder and the sender of the message, such messages are aimed at luring the people. So, beware of messages in the name of friendship. This is nothing but part of Nigerian crimes.
