Cyclone ‘Michaung’ Brings Rainfall Predictions for Telangana

The Indian Meteorological Department’s Hyderabad division has issued a forecast indicating that Telangana is anticipated to experience moderate rainfall until December 6, with a cyclonic storm forming in the Bay of Bengal being identified as the influencing factor.

According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) forecast, Cyclone ‘Michaung’ is expected to impact various parts of Telangana from December 4 to 6. The weather department underscores the likelihood of light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers in Ongole-Konaseema, situated to the east of Telangana.

Hyderabad is expected to receive light to moderate rainfall on December 5 and 6. Due to prevailing easterly winds and cloudy conditions across Telangana, minimum temperatures are anticipated to be 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above normal during the week. While coastal districts in southern Andhra Pradesh and northern Tamil Nadu prepare for the impending impact of Cyclone Michaung early next week, Telangana is bracing for potential disruptions.
