Nizamabad: Nizamabad former Mayor D Sanjay heaved a sigh of relief as he got bail in Nursing Students sexual harassment case. The district court granted conditional bail to Sanjay. He was asked to report to the police station on every Monday and Thursday. Sanjay, who stayed in the district jail for the last 18 days as a remand prisoner, will come out from the jail on Friday.
It may be mentioned here that TRS Rajya Sabha member D Srinivas approached the High Court challenging the police remand of Sanjay in regard to sexual harassment case.
In his petition, DS mentioned that the Telangana State government didn’t prepare police manual though the State was created five years ago and still the Telangana State government was following the Andhra Pradesh Police Manual. (NSS)
