Hyderabad: Former minister Danam Nagender, who resigned from the Congress on Friday, has said TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy was working like a soldier to strengthen the party, but some other leaders were suppressing other leaders from BC and weaker sections.
Speaking to the media today, Danam said AICC secretary V Hanumantha Rao’s condition in the party was pathetic and was continuing in the party for name sake. He said the leaders in the Congress party rush to Delhi whenever their names published in the newspapers. He said BC population in the State was 1.67 crore and they have power of influencing the elections but they have no importance in in the party. He said BC leaders from the districts mentioned the same in the party meeting and expressed unhappiness. (NSS)
