Hyderabad: Congress leaders Dr Dasoju Shravan Kumar and SA Sampath Kumar on Thursday said that they still have doubts over the tampering of EVM machines by ruling party leaders in the now concluded elections.
Addressing media persons in the city, the two leaders have said that there was a huge difference in polled votes and the votes that were counted on the counting day. They also said that they would fight on the issue of deletion of the names of 22 lakh voters in the days to come. The leaders wanted to know if the CEO or the election commission had powers to delete the names of 22 lakh voters from the voters’ list.
Shravan Kumar also alleged that huge number of irregularities have taken place during the election campaign. Making serious allegations against the CEO Rajat Kumar, he said that people who commit such mistakes would be publicly executed in gulf countries. He said the EC had acted as a servant of the ruling party. He said that if a lie detector test is conducted on Rajat Kumar, the facts would come out. He alleged that the election commission did not take any kind of action on their complaints over the issue. He said that their request to count VVPAT slips to the officials of the election commission on December 9 and December 11,2018 did not have any impact on the officials.
Sravan alleged that candidates who were chased away byn the people in villages, have got huge number of votes. He wondered how such a thing can happen. Addanki Dayakar (thungathurthy), D Pavan Kumar (Devarakadra) were also present. (NSS)
