Hyderabad: Former Union minister and Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatraya today criticised Irrigation Minister Harish Rao for his baseless remarks against the Centre. The comment of Harish Rao is ridiculous, who had said that Modi government was anti-farmer.
Taking a dig at the TRS government, Dattatraya asserted that it was KCR government that had jailed farmers, who had demanded minimum support price (MSP) for their produce. Reiterating that some 4,500 farmers committed suicides in Telangana State during the last four-and-a-half year rule of the TRS government, Dattatraya said the State government could not give explanation to the questions raised by BJP national president Amit Shah during his visit to Telangana recently, he said.
