Dattatraya slams KTR for making false statement

Hyderabad: BJP senior leader Bandaru Dattatraya today said the statement made by TRS working president KTR against his party was far from the truth and added that the Center was not showing discrimination against the Telangana State. He also alleged that KTR was willfully making baseless statements against the BJP as he was scared of losing in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections at the hands of the BJP.

Addressing mediapersons here today, Dattatraya claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working in tandem with chief ministers of all the States in the country. He claimed that the Centre had provided financial aid to the tune of Rs 2 lakh crore so far in the form of grants and other means to the State. The Centre was responsible for the 24-hour power supply scheme being implemented by the State government, he said, adding that the Central government had also extended funds to 11 irrigation projects in the State.

The Secunderabad MP also claimed that the Centre had given Rs 50,000 crore for Yadadri power project and laid 5,600-km long roads in the State. The BJP leader said the Centre had revived FCI at Ramagundam and extending support to Warangal Textile Park and Karminagar-Nizamabad Railway line. He also alleged that Rs 1,700 crore allotted by the Centre under PM Sadak Yojana was withdrawn due to the “callous and ignorant attitude” of the State government.
