Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao on Wednesday termed the daylight murder attempt to incident of a minor girl Madhulika at Kachiguda area as the failure of law and order in the capital city and the infant State.
Terming the violent incident as the most unfortunate, VH said it was shocking no onlooker tried to save the girl while the accused Bharat was attacking her with a knife. He expressed surprised over the decision of the She Teams to leave the accused after counseling him a couple of days back instead of slapping a case against him. He also said the condition of the girl was serious and added that the State government should come to her rescue. He also said the slogan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi “Beti Bachao Beti Padavo” has gone for a toss in the State. (NSS)
