Hyderabad: The Business Advisory Committee meeting of Telangana Assembly has decided to take up a discussion on the Vote-on- Account budget presented by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in the House on Saturday. The committee, which met shortly after the presentation of the budget on Friday, also decided to take up discussion on Appropriation Bill on Monday before approving it in the House.
Meanwhile, the State government has decided to issue a notification for the election of the Deputy Speaker on Saturday. The deputy speaker election will be held on Monday. The ruling party has finalized the name of former minister T. Padma Rao Goud for the post. He is likely to be elected unopposed to the post, thanks to the majority of the ruling TRS party in the House.
Speaker P Srinivas Reddy chaired the meeting attended by leader of the house and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, CLP Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Assembly Affairs Minister V Prashanth Reddy, Congress leader Sridhar Babu, MIM Balala, BJP Raja Singh, Assembly Secretary V Narsimha Charyulu and others. Since Sunday being the holiday the house will resume on Monday and approve the budget . (NSS)
