Dehradun-New Delhi Shatabdi Express Catches Fire; No Injuries Reported

Uttarakhand Railway Station recently reported fire in the train on Saturday. No passenger has been reported to be injured or hurt by the fire.

Fire Erupted In Train Coach

As per the reports from a senior Railway Ministry official in Delhi, coach C-5 of the train Dehradun-New Delhi Shatabdi Express. The coach caught fire between Raiwala and Kansrao railway station in Uttarakhand. The official further said that the incident happened around 12:20 pm and the coach was placed in the eighth positions from the train engine and it left in the morning from Delhi to Dehradun.  

The reason for the C-5 Coach to catch fire is due to some short circuits. But the situation was brought under control soon without any casualties to the passengers or to the staff.

Passengers Adjusted To Other Coaches

The official reported that the coach was detached from the train and the train guard informed that no passengers were hurt during the incident. Furthermore, fire brigade was called immediately. He said that there were 35 passengers in the coach when it caught fire and were adjusted to other coaches.

After some time, the train continued with its journey.

As per the latest reports, the train has reached Dehradun safely.
