Delegations led by Minister Srinivas Goud meet central officials

A high-level delegation from the Telangana state led by Dr. V. Srinivas Goud, Minister of Prohibition & Excise (P&E), Youth Advancement, Tourism &Culture, Sports (YAT&C), and Archeology has met the senior officers of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Director General of Archaeological Survey of India and discussed to pursue the recognition process of Rudreshwara (Ramappa) Temple in Telangana State as World Heritage Site in UNESCO in Shastri Bhavan here today.

The delegation has also discussed pending sanctions for the State in the Ministry of Culture. The officers of ASI were requested to take up the development works of monuments and forts in the state and proposals of upgradation, refurbishment, and renovation of museums in Warangal, Hyderabad, and Karimnagar.

The delegation has also requested for speedy disposal of shifting of the Golkonda Sound light show from the existing place to a new panoramic view of the fort. Noting that, After the formation of State, the Ministry has accepted to extend financial assistance for the renovation of  Karimnagar Museum, the delegation submitted revised DPRs for approval of the central ministry.

The Minister also requested the officers of the Union Ministry of Culture and ASI for shifting of the rare antiques and artifacts from the Nagarjuna Sagar museum and assured the complete state support for building the world-class museum in Hyderabad to showcase the same.

The delegation has also requested for speeding up of the restoration works at Ramappa and Thousand pillar temple of Warangal.
