Delhi Liquor Scam:BJP amassed Rs.800 crore to topple AAP Govt:Kejriwal

Following reports of horse trading of Aam Aadmi Party lawmakers in Delhi, a meeting was convened today by the party on a clarion call by the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. It is said that 54 out of 62 lawmakers participated in the meeting while the absentees conveyed their support to the party chief through a phone call.

Later, all the AAP lawmakers paid a visit to Gandhi Ji’s memorial at RajGhat where, according to them, the leaders prayed for the failure of BJP’s ‘Operation Lotus.’ The latest development came amid the brouhaha over the liquor scam orchestrated by the BJP in Delhi against the AAP lawmakers. Clapping back at the saffron fold, the AAP said “the BJP is trying to topple the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi and hence resorting to horse trading of its lawmakers by offering them Rs.20 crores each.”

Meanwhile, the AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal said, ‘Operation Lotus’ is the actual scam wherein each lawmaker is being offered Rs.20 crore. “As per the plot, the BJP needs 40 lawmakers to topple the AAP government in Delhi for which it has amassed a huge amount of Rs.800 crore and is now forcing the lawmakers to switch their loyalties in saffron’s favour. The people of Delhi want to know from which source the BJP got such a huge amount. Is that coming from GST, PM Care fund or from any sympathizer’s pocket to pull down the Delhi Government,” he enquired.

Meanwhile, the BJP lawmaker from Delhi Parvesh Verma questioned the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal that why he is shying away from replying to the allegations over Liquor Scam. “What actually has forced him to turn down the suggestions made by the committee on New Liquor Policy and resorted to increase the commission of annual licence holders from 2 percent to 12 percent,” he asked.
