Hyderabad: A business man, reportedly traveling in a Mercedes Benz car alone, on Thursday attempted suicide by shooting himself in his forehead on the Outer Ring Road at Manchirevula near Narsingi here. The passersby, who noticed the critically injured man, rushed him to a corporate hospital at Rayadurgam.
Alerted by the locals, the Narsingi police rushed to the spot and enquired with them about the incident. The locals said they heard a gunshot sound from a red Mercedes Benz car (TS 09 UB 6040) parked on the roadside with the injured man inside. The inured was identified as Faizal Ahmed, 34, son of Salman Ahmed from Masab Tank, running US Consultancy. Police suspect that Faizal Ahmed took to the extreme step due to financial losses in his business.
It was found that the business man took the car from a car rental agency in Srinagar Colony which was registered in the name of Ashwin Jain, a resident of Vayuvihar Apartments in Lower Tank Bund. Meanwhile, DCP Venkateshwarlu also visited the spot and reviewed the situation. He said the condition of the business man remained critical as he shot himself in his forehead and the cartridge pierced through his head. (NSS)
