DGP Mahender Reddy Condemns Revanth’s Remarks

DGP M. Mahender Reddy today condemned the comments made by TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy against him.

Stating that Revanth had claimed that the State government had sent him on a forceful leave, the DGP made it clear that there was no iota of truth in the claims of the TPCC chief.

In a statement, Mahender Reddy said he sustained injuries on his left hand and suffered a hairline fracture on scapula after falling in his house.

He also said the doctors had put up a bandage on his hand and asked him to take complete rest till recovery. He said he had gone on leave from February 8, 2022, to March 4 on the advice of the doctors. He said he had resumed his duties on the basis of the advice of the doctors.

He said the TPCC chief made baseless allegations against him without making an attempt to find out the reasons behind his long leave. He expressed his strong objection to the comments of Revanth and added that it was not proper for the TPCC chief for spreading lies despite being a State leader of a political party.

He said he was condemning the false campaign of Revanth Reddy against him and added that the comments made by Revanth Reddy were likely to create confusion over the State government. He also said the comments would also demoralise the police force besides causing harm to the people of the State. He urged Revanth to exercise restraint while making such comments against the All India Services officers.
