Dikshant parade of 71 RR held at sardar vallabhbhai patel national police academy

Hyderabad: The Dikshant Parade of 71 RR (Regular Recruits) was held today at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, here. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi was the Chief Guest for this event. He interacted with the passing out IPS Probationers through video conferencing.

Speaking on the occasion, the PM said about the importance of maintaining physical fitness which is also a part of their duty. He told that without being a good human being one cannot become a good officer. They should pick up good causes for society and strive to achieve them. He also emphasized that officers should leverage the inherent strength of the society for achieving citizen-friendly objectives.

The Union Home Minister Amit Shah has conveyed his best wishes to all the officers on parade and exhorted them to serve with sincerity and integrity for fulfilling the SMART Police Vision ( strict and sensitive, modern and mobile, alert and accountable, reliable and responsible, techno-savvy and trained) of the Prime Minister.

In his inaugural address, Director of SVP National Police Academy, Atul Karwal said that the Nation has high expectations from the IPS Probationers passing out from the Academy and he expressed confidence that they will rise to the occasion each and every time.

Atul Karwal presented the Trophies to the Winners. Dikshant Parade marked the culmination of training for the IPS Probationers who are stepping into the service of the county. The Parade was led by the Best Probationer of the batch Kiran Shruti D.V.

This batch consists of 121 officers from 71RR (2018 batch) and 10 officers from 70 RR (2017 batch). Out of a total of 131 Probationers, 28 are Lady Probationers.
