Direct flights from Hyderabad to Baghdad launched

Direct flight service from Hyderabad to Baghdad from GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. (GHIAL) was launched on Sunday, according to reports.

At 3:17 pm, the inaugural Fly Baghdad flight took off from Hyderabad. GHIAL officials and other airport stakeholders greeted passengers and crew at the terminal in a festive atmosphere, according to a press release.

Fly Baghdad Flight IF 461 is scheduled to arrive at GMR Hyderabad International Airport at 9:55 am on Tuesday. IF 462 will depart Hyderabad at 10:55 am on the same day. Flight IF 461 arrives here at 11:55 am on Sunday and flight IF 462 departs at 12:55 pm.

Flights will operate between GMR Hyderabad International Airport and Baghdad on Sundays and Tuesdays.

Hyderabad-Dhaka flights were recently inaugurated at GMR Hyderabad International airport in response to growing demand. In the same direction, this is the second service.

Data released by the Indian Tourism Ministry shows that 54% of all international medical visitors to India are from Bangladesh. The city of Hyderabad has become a popular destination for medical tourists from Bangladesh.

Iraqis seeking medical treatment in India also often fly from Baghdad. This is why there is a growing demand for medical tourism in Hyderabad as a result of this.

Approximately around 10 percent of medical tourists visited India from Iraq last year, as per the data released by the Union Tourism Ministry.

Among Muslims, Baghdad and Karbala, the capital city of Iraq, have significant historical and religious significance. The cities of Baghdad and Karbala attract thousands of Indian tourists each year. Muslims from around the world visit the site twice a year. There are several other religious sites in Iraq as well, including the shrines of Abdul Qadir Gilani in Baghdad and of Imam Ali in Najaf.
