Hyderabad : Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today asked the people of his community not to feel shy to have Reddy tag to their names. Reddy Jana Sangh has felicitated Srinivas Reddy on being taken over as the speaker of the Assembly at Raja Bahadur Reddy College Hostel near Abids here.
Srinivas Reddy said that Reddy community can proudly have the tag of Reddy as they used to help others. Because of this mentality to help others, the Reddy community has an upper hand and holding political posts at various levels, he said. He distributed scholarships to students sponsored by Reddy Jana Sangh.
The Speaker appealed to the rich and businessmen to come out to help the poor become educate. The State Government has launched Gurukul Schools and institutions for the poor and minorities for education. On completion of irrigation projects the villages will be developed.
Home Minister Mahamood Ali and others were present. He stressed need for extending support for poor to pursue education and lead better lives.(NSS)
