Education Institutes Shut from Wednesday to Check Rising Corona Cases: Sabitha

 As the Corona cases are on the rise n the state, the government decided to shut all educational institutions in Telangana. The decision in this regard was taken after a thorough examination and discussion at a high level by the government.

This was informed to the house in the Assembly During its budget 2921-22 session by education minister Sabitha Sondra Reddy. Informing the house she expressed concern that the rise in Corona situation may reach a dangerous level and the Government is for closing the schools, colleges in the state. All schools, colleges, including Government and private, would be closed from March 24 temporarily, she explained. However medical colleges will continue to function the education minister said.

The government is for protecting children and students from Coronavirus as the card is on rising, Sabitha stated. The minister stated that several states already shut educational institutions including Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh,  Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujrat, Chattisgarh, and others where there is a rise in Corona cases. There were also continuous appeals from parents on the closure of the same the minister informed. Sabitha stated that the government has reviewed the entire situation in the country and took a decision to temporarily close down all educational institutions in Telangana.

The parents, management of all educational institutions should notice this and follow Covid Norms, the minister appealed. Sabitha furthers urged the people to check virus spread by strictly following the protocols. We need to continuously wear masks, sanitize hands and maintain physical distance, she added.
