Educationalists Express Concerns Over Grading System for Class XII

Another challenge that the educationalists have expressed concerns over the grading system for Class XII. While the government is yet to announce a plan for the grading system, many stakeholders have approached them to opt for a comprehensive plan.

They said that the plan must justify the student’s academic performance and record. The deserving students must be allocated grades on the basis of their early performance. And the challenge required a great deal of thinking to arrive at criteria for academic assessment.

Vishnu Karthik, CEO, The Heritage Schools said that there is a need for a new grading system that is acceptable to both schools and universities. Any delay or confusion regarding the grading system would only create more anxiety and panic for the students. At the same time, clear directions must also be provided for the Indian universities to modify their admission criteria so fairness is not compromised.
