Electric Vehicle Summit-2019 held in City

Hyderabad: Department of Commerce & Industries and Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) jointly organized an Electric Vehicle Summit-2019 in a hotel here.

Leading companies in the EV space such as Bosch, ActiVolt, Axiom Energy, ICEA, EWE, Olectra Greentech and other consulting firms, KPMG and PWC, along with key representatives from the Government of Telangana, including TSRTC, TSSPDCL, TSREDCO, HMRL participated.

Addressing the Summit,  Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary Industries, spoke about a recent meeting with Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, where he lamented that India missed out on industrial, telecom, mobile and solar revolutions. He said Telangana was one of the contenders for 10 Giga storage manufacturing under NITI Aayog’s national program targeting 50 Giga storage manufacturing across five locations across the country. T-Hub was playing a key role in supporting start-ups, in line with NITI Aayog’s intent to increase participation of start-ups through special supporting programs.

William Hopkinson, acting deputy commissioner Hyderabad, Sujai Karampuri, Director Electronics, Rajiv Reddy, Chairman southern council, ICC, and others also spoke.  (NSS)
