Etela Rajender denies land grabbing charges

After Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao removed Etela Rajender from the Minister’s post for land grabbing charges, Etela Rajender stated that he will come clean after the probe into the charges. Let the probe reveal facts on the land grab charges he said adding that a planned conspiracy is working against him and lost his post. Then I did not seek to meet the chief minister and will not try to do so, Rajender maintained.

Talking to presspersons after the removal of the Minister post, Rajender said that KCR as the Chief Minister has all powers to remove or give any minister post. I am happy that KCR removed me and the probe by officials should unravel the facts whether he grabbed any assigned lands.

‘I have self-respect and will not bow to any such forces and not committed a mistake as I enjoy people support by serving them, he said.

Rajender said that the chief minister’s decision is final and he has no plans to meet him. During 20 years of my political career I have no such blot of corruption and land grabbing and then why I do it now, he rebutted. A plan is executed to remove him and I will not take an immediate decision on this. After the probe results come out I will talk to the people of my segment who are my bosses he said.

Removal of Rajender surprised political parties as the chief minister ordered a probe on the charges that the minister grabbed assigned lands against the norms of the government.

The serious action against Rajender has come soon after the announcement of an inquiry by the chief minister on alleged grabbing of assigned lands allegations for his poultry business in Medak. Rajender denied the land grabbing charges and slammed that some media of his TRS party is resorting to such a bad campaign to malign his clean image. Rajender denied charges that he grabbed about 100 acres of assigned lands actually purchased them.

He also said that Rajender gave financial assistance to build a Peddamma Thalli temple in the village. Rajender did not force us and did not fight with us to give the land.

Rajender said that he will take a call after meeting his constituency people for his future plan after probe gives report sees light.

Though I lost my post I will try to serve the people during the corona crisis he said.  The political parties can go and inquire on the issue he said.

He said that the CMO official Narsing Rao informed that the government can give it to TSIIC after surrendering the lands. If I have grabbed the land the government can demolish any illegal structures on it and I am ready to face any action, Rajender said.

Our plan was to set up the industry and got permission and I did not grab. Telangana people are not blind or fools to believe such charges he said.

It is vendetta politics that the chief minister has shunted Rajender, TJS chief Prof Kondandaram said.

Medak Collector Harish said that in his primary inquiry report the assigned lands were grabbed by Etela Rajender. I will submit a report to the government in three hours, he said.

Achampet Sarpanch and a  local TRS leader Lakshmi said that they sold lands to Etela Rajender. The minister did not grab the lands or threatened and he gave money to build a temple.  Pochaiah a farmer in the village. He said that Etela Rajender did not grab their lands. We sold our 6.5 acres of land for Rs 15 lakhs and gave related documents and photos and no injustice done to us. We sold the lands for Rs 2 lakh an acre and now asking for more amount is not correct he said

Also, Etela Rajender’s followers conducted protests against the chief minister in Karimnagar and Warangal districts after the removal of his ministerial post.
